Many of my students have requested ideas of how to use sinamay to make trimmings for fascinators or for their hats. This has inspired me to begin making short simple tutorial videos to share the techniques for anyone to try. This sinamay bow is made simply by Bethune and is there for you to build upon and use your creative flair and ideas to create your own unique trim finish. I do hope you enjoy it. Do feel free to leave a comment.
Until next time

The tutorial on making sinamay bows was simple, helpful and did not contain a bunch of talking and commentary. Just the steps. Excellent.
I’m a new amateur milliner who hopes to make this a retirement “job” as such. I’m having diffidulty on getting my sinamy to fit around my crown molds without a surplus of fabric making the crown bulky. I end up wit so much material I have to tuck and fold in order to get the headzize correct and to make it look neat. I know that the decorative trim will hide it all, but is there a trick to getting it neater and tighter?
Also, anybody got a lead on inexpensive brim molds?
Theresa
Many thanks Theresa for your kind words, I’m glad you enjoyed it, keep watching there are more on its way.
Many thanks
Bethune
