Sinamay is a lovely fabric to work with in the hat making industry, knowing how to finish off edges gives a variety to any sinamay trimming. Whether it’s for a fascinator or to add to your couture hat as a trim it is worth having ago. Do try it and let me know your results, it’s amazing what you can do!     Loved the tutorial on Sinamy trim Pt. Now, any hits on molding a smooth crown using either sinamay or felt. Mine always seem to pucker around the base, leaving me with a bulky crown to fit onto the brim.

  5. I was just curious where you got your supplies. I very recently became interested in making fascinators (as of this morning) and have been googling constantly. Everything I see points to the UK. Not sure where you’re located, but I thought you might have some advice. Thanks!
