I came across your website by "accident" and I'm so glad! Thank you for sharing your work, I've made some simple fascinators and now I'm inspired to try my hand at working with sinamay and seeing what I can come up with. Thanks again!

I was just curious where you got your supplies. I very recently became interested in making fascinators (as of this morning) and have been googling constantly. Everything I see points to the UK. Not sure where you're located, but I thought you might have some advice. Thanks!

Hi Bethune,

I want to make myself a fascinator for a wedding in june. I bought some sinamay and was trying to roll the edges like in your video, but they don't stay they just unravel! How do you get them to stay? Also how would I attach it to my headband? I was going to glue it to fucky foam piece in the same colour. Using a glue gun. The sinamay that I got is frayed at the edges and spiky! I look forward to hearing from you shortly.

The video was lovely to watch. Using your hands to 'do the talking' created focus, and allowed me to understand the making process. I will add this to my making... thank you.
PS Music complimented the video nicely.

Thank you Carole for taking a look and leaving your comment I am glad you enjoyed the video, sinamay is a great fabric to work with and you can make so many interesting shapes and designs for hats and fascinators. Do look out for more videos on its way.

Hi,
thank you for sharing your great videos. I though that sinamay was very difficult to work, but you make it very simply.
Thanks again,
         Carole

Loved the tutorial on Sinamy trim Pt. Now, any hits on molding a smooth crown using either sinamay or felt. Mine always seem to pucker around the base, leaving me with a bulky crown to fit onto the brim.
